It has been a juicing frenzy in the Pelser home since our diet got a little crazy on vacation. In preparation for our 90 Day Slim and Sassy Challenge we have been juicing all week and I'm loving it! Why Juice? Juicing allows you extract and absorb a high concentration of vitamins, nutrients, enzymes and minerals straight into the blood stream, allowing you to get maximum benefits from the fruits and vegetables that you consume. What Juicer? Here is a great article from HuffingtonPost.com about the difference between a Centrifugal Juicer and a Masticating Juicer. I personally have an Omega Centrifugal Juicer because it juices quickly, is easy to clean, and was more in my budget. Also since I use my Vitamix to drink my greens I'm not as concerned about getting the juice out of my greens when juicing them. Also, the Vitamix can make nut butters just as well as a Masticating Juicer.  Not to say I wouldn't buy a Masticating, maybe one of these days I will have all 3 ;) Here are some tasty and nutritious juice recipes:
    1. 2 cups Pineapple, 1 orange, & 1 inch ginger
    2. 2 large leaves Swiss chard, 4 celery, 1 apple, 1/2  lemon, & 1 inch ginger
    3. 1 Grapefruit & 1 orange (this is my morning wake me up), sometimes I add greens to this
    4. 1 Orange & 4 carrots
    5. 1/2 Cucumber, 2 celery, 1 apple, 1/2 lemon, 1 inch ginger
    6. 1 small beet, 1 apple, & 2 carrots
