Four years ago when I became pregnant with my first, I started to really pay attention to what I was using to clean our home. I started with "green cleaning" products from the store, but soon after noticed that the ingredients weren't always legit. When my baby girl started moving around and getting into things I decided to only have cleaning products that would be safe if she accidentally got a hold of them. This is when I began to make all my own products with safe and inexpensive ingredients. Here is one of the first recipes I made, All Purpose Cleaning Spray. I use this for cleaning my kitchen, bathroom, floors and whatever else I think needs a squirt.
Real Green Cleaning, DIY All Purpose Cleaning Spray.
- 2 Tbsp. white distiller vinegar
- 1 tsp. Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap
- 2 cups distilled water
- 10 drops doTERRA Essential oil.
I use On Guard Essential Oil Blend
for our home and studio. On Guard is a blend of cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, rosemary, and wild orange. Lemon Essential Oil is also a good choice. Both are a great addition to your cleaner for killing bacteria, viruses, fungi, and mold. Also great for immune system support.
