The cool temps in Cleveland don't leave us many options for fresh greens and fruit, not to mention who wants to drink a frozen drink in the morning?! There is no better way to pack in the nutrition in the winter, than with warm superfood smoothies! Here are some recipes that I featured on New Day Cleveland! [caption id="attachment_7342" align="alignright" width="300"] Click the Picture to watch the Segment[/caption] SMOOTHIE #1: 1 APPLE, 1/4 CUP DRIED MULBERRIES, 1/4 CUP DRY OATS, 1 TBSP MACA POWDER, 1/2 TSP CINNAMON, 1 CUP ALMOND OR RICE MILK. SMOOTHIE #2: 1 ORANGE, 1 CARROT, 1 TSP TUMERIC, 1 TBSP CHIA SEEDS, 1 CUP ORANGE JUICE OR COCONUT WATER SMOOTHIE/LATTE #3: BANANA, 2 TBSP CACAO POWDER, 1 TBSP COCONUT OIL, 1 TBSP MAPLE SYRUP OR HONEY, 1 TSP MATCHA TEA POWDER, 1 CUP HOT ALMOND OR RICE MILK. Using a Vitamix or high-speed blender, blend on high until slightly warm. Enjoy!
