Raw Nutella

I was honestly raised on Nutella. I ate Nutella way before it was cool to eat Nutella. I was fortunate enough to spend summers in Italy growing up and my Grandma did not hold back on the Nutella. I even remember my American friends begging me to bring some home (I was like the Nutella dealer). Anyway... After reading an article that stated how terrible Nutella is and that we are basically killing our children slowly (don't worry I took it with a grain of salt), I decided to make my own Nutella. No joke, the kids went berzerk! They were eating it by spoonful! Here's what I did...

Raw Nutella Recipe

homemade nutella2 cups raw hazelnuts 1/2 cup maple syrup 1/2 cup coconut oil 1/2 cup cacao powder 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp sea salt water if needed

Using a Vitamix, blend the ingredients on high. Use the tamper to keep the mixture going. I needed to stop so that I didn't overheat the Vitamix. I also added about 1/4 cup of water to get things moving a bit more. I'm not sure the life span on this, but I would make a fresh batch weekly.
